Taste Of Roselle
Vendor Requirements/FAQ
Thank you for being a part of the Taste of Roselle. We cannot host this event without YOU – our vendors! Below you will find a quick reference list of pre-event and day of/set-up info.
PLAN AHEAD – KNOW BEFORE YOU ARRIVE - ALL VENDORS MUST:
· Be set up and ready for Fire Marshall and Health Department inspection by 5:00pm on Friday, August 1st. Those who are not will be unable to open on Friday. This is a Fire Marshall requirement, and we don’t have the ability to make exceptions.
· If providing your own tent, each leg must have “feet, “and be weighted with 40-pounds of weight at each leg. You must bring your own weights. The taste of Roselle will not have weights available. Additionally, weights must be ratchet strapped to the top of the tent. The fire marshal also mandates this. You will not be able to open without this.
· Have a Certificate of Insurance on file prior to opening naming Roselle Lions Club & Village of Roselle as additional insured. This can be emailed or brought day of event.
· Pay all balances due prior to setting up. (Please reach out for balance due if needed.)
· Have the appropriate DuPage County Health Department vendor license and pass a health inspection before selling food (including pre-packaged items.) The health dept has a full list of vendors and will be in contact in advance of the event. A health department representative will be onsite for safety inspections and permit checks prior to opening on Friday.
· For the health and safety of all, vendors must have an ABC fire extinguisher, a 3-zone wash sink, and only commercially approved refrigeration will be accepted by the health department.
· All electrical cords are to be 12-gauge (and must have ground plug).
· Must have large signage that is visible and with prices visible.
DAY OF EVENT:
· Food vendors may begin setting up starting at 8am on Friday, August 1st. Traffic for setting up is ONE WAY ONLY. Please enter Prospect Street from Irving Park (to the north) to access Main Street heading east only. DO NOT MOVE BARRIERS TO ENTER ANY OTHER WAY!
· Taste of Roselle staff will be on site to direct traffic and let you know where to set up.
· Please unload your vehicle and move it promptly then return to set up so that others can get in safely and allow fellow vendors the same courtesy.
· After setting up you will be issued a parking pass. Parking is limited to the outlining streets and lots. Please observe all posted signs.
· All food prep booths are required to have a double layer of #15 felt paper on the ground beneath the booth to protect the street. Any vendor leaving grease marks behind will be charged a $250 fee for clean-up post event. Unfortunately, this has been an issue that we now have to pass on to our vendors.
· FOOD TRUCKS and replenishing - If you plan to take your drivable food truck out of the fest each night you may do so only when all guests have exited, and it is safe to do so. No vehicles will be allowed to enter or exit the event during the posted hours of the event. If you sell out, you will have to wait until the event has ended so exit. If you plan on or need to replenish during the open hours of the event you will need to park offsite and bring it in by hand or with a cart. Any “towed” trailers will not be allowed to exit daily. We’re expecting a full street and want everyone to be safe.
· All vendors vehicles must be unloaded each day and the street free of car traffic 1 hour before the fest opens.
ELECTRIC ACCESS:
· Each vendor will have access to 2-standard 110v outlets unless specific electrical arrangements have been made prior to August 1st. (Standard household outlet.) If you have needs outside this, we need to be informed by July 25th. We do have limited RV and truck/trailer power hookups. Availability will depend on the location and order in which requests are made. We cannot guarantee the ability to accommodate additional power needs on day of event. Knowing ahead of time helps us avoid the power issues that we’ve experienced in the past. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Thank you again for your participation! We’re excited to be able to host our community again this year. Please remember that everyone that is helping to run the Taste of Roselle is a volunteer. We’re all doing our best to put on our annual fest. Please feel free to reach out to us anytime with questions. E-mail is the fastest way to reach a staff person.
